Matthew Young
Matthew Young is a recycling, reuse, and sustainability entrepreneur focused on processing difficult-to-recycle materials. After working at some of the largest electronics recyclers in the country, Young founded Akooba and Electronics Value Recovery, which both focus on different aspects of the electronics recycling supply chain, and Rest In Peace Recycling, which is a mattress recycler. An avid advocate for reuse, Young is the chairman of the ISRI Electronics Division Specifications committee, working to standardize testing practices to facilitate reuse and trade. Outside of recycling, he enjoys spending time with his family, drone photography, working on classic cars, sailing, and skiing.
