Robert Ellsworth is the Director of Sustainability for Schnitzer Steel Industries, Inc. Ellsworth joined Schnitzer in 2010 as an intern and became its first Sustainability lead in 2012. Over the past 11 years, Ellsworth has built Schnitzer’s Sustainability program from the ground up, including its ESG data collection, reporting obligations, and various projects and initiatives within the company’s operations, EH&S, public affairs, procurement, and investor relations functional groups. Ellsworth holds an M.B.A. from Portland State University in Oregon, and a B.S. in Biology from San Diego State University in California.
