Salim Bhabhrawala
Salim Bhabhrawala (he/his/him) is currently the Critical Minerals Sector Lead at the U.S. Department of Commerce's Office of Materials Industries. He has a Bachelor's degree in International Economics from Michigan State University, and a Master's degree in Global Finance from the University of Denver. He has worked for Commerce's International Trade Administration for 21 years. Currently, Bhabhrawala works closely with the U.S. critical minerals, rare-earths, and advanced battery industries. He is the Designated Federal Officer for Commerce's newly formed Industry Trade Advisory Committee on Non-Ferrous Metals and Critical Minerals. He is also the head of the U.S. Government's delegation to the United Nation's International Metals Study Group.
