Maslansky + Partners, Communications Consultancy, New York, NY
Continuing their work from ISRI2012, maslansky + partners will help the recycling industry define itself and communicate its activities and goals to local communities, lawmakers, and the public. The company is led by Michael Maslansky, who advises Fortune 500 companies, industry associations, and professional communicators on language strategies that shift perceptions and move markets. Organizations turn to maslansky + partners to understand the public mood, challenge conventional wisdom, and transform not just what they say to key audiences but how they say it.
At the general session 10 years ago, Maslansky brought to the stage a 20-member consumer panel to discuss their opinions of the recycling industry and how well its messages resonate with consumers. In today’s world, the way the recycling industry defines itself and communicates is more important than ever.
Maslansky spends a great deal of time thinking about why some messages stick and others do not, and why sometimes the right word at the right time can make all the difference in creating successful communications. He is the author of “The Language of Trust: Selling Ideas in a World of Skeptics,” published in 2010.
How CEOs, companies, and entire industries communicate—whether during crises, in advertising and public relations campaigns, or with investors, Congress, or the American people—often mean the difference between success and failure.
Maslansky’s strategic analysis builds on insights from his unique combination of expertise: battle-tested communications experience combined with a deep understanding of public opinion. He has conducted hundreds of messaging and research projects in over 20 countries using his firm’s trademarked polling methodology.
